Cat tail looks bad- advice please. Hair loss and tail feels thin.?

So, last week (maybe tues or wed) we noticed out cat Levi had something (a sore?) on his tail, about a third of the way in from the tip. It didn't seem like a big deal, as we have two cats (bros- same litter) and they sometimes hurt each other while playfighting. We went away for the holiday, and when we returned tonight, his tail looks awful, is missing patches of hair, feels ';thin';. It is not sensitive to touch, not hot, no open wound and he does not seem to be favoring it or acting funny. Nothing happened to him to our knowledge, but they do have the run of the house and balcony and we have a 1 year old who loves to chase them, but has never caught them before. I don't think she did anything, but just laying out the facts.





It almost feels dead, just at the end (the last third). We will take him to the vet tomorrow, but any advice between now and then is much appreciated. Levi is 5- ish.Cat tail looks bad- advice please. Hair loss and tail feels thin.?
Could be flea allergy. Some cats are very sensitive to flea bites and they tear out their own fur as a reaction to it, often around the tail area (easy to get to). Your cat may have fleas even if you can't see them. Take your cat to the vet as it may need steroidal medication to stop the allergic reaction. My vet told me ';a bald scabby cat is an itchy cat';. I think the vet is the best idea, and I don't think, even if we give you advice, that you should follow any of it because it might be very wrong and hurt your cat.
So your cats inflict bloody wounds on eachother and you say it ';didn't seem like a big deal';? That's a bit off. Obviously this cat had a bad injury and from what it sounds like you didn't even bother to clean it up.





And your one year old wouldn't chase the cats if you discipline he or she not to. Are you aware that young children - since they have no sense to know the different - can easily injure or kill a cat?

If telling someone to keep the faith is what keeps them able to function for one more day, then no, it's not bad advice. Is it bad advice when something more practical ought to be done? Yes. As for those cavemen.... one man did not just sit down one day and go, ';hmmm, maybe if I rub two sticks together I'll make that magical lightening fire that comes from the sky';. He got there by accident. So your example itself just got it's holes poked in it. What I'm trying to say here.... if they're not hurting you or your family or anyone else by telling someone to keep the faith ... why in the world do you care??? Why go so far to try and knock someone down whose not even bothering you?





My wish for you? That jsut once you see what a little faith can really do.

Faith isn't based on ignorance. It's based on experience. I have a lot of trouble starting a fire by rubbing two sticks together, but it works. Sometimes it's really hard to remember that we have an everlasting hope in Jesus Christ, but we do.

Am I giving bad advice?

My friend is pregnant by a guy and he was texting one of her associates. She found out and now the guy is mad at her for going through his phone. She also told me she is not satisfied because he doesn't give oral. I told her to get an abortion. It is only going to get worse, the lies, sex and trust. Just isn't there, well from what she has said prior. She said she wants to keep her child, but why struggle when he is a dog from jump. Am I a bad friend and what would you tell her?Am I giving bad advice?
May not be a good idea of a friend recommending abortion, if she does she may regret it more. It would be better coming from a parent or doctor.Am I giving bad advice?
Well, you're right that it's only going to get worse but people have very strong feelings about abortion. What she does need to do is try to step away from this guy emotionally and see him as what he will be - and all he should be - the father of her unborn child if she chooses to keep it. They are linked now and she chose that link but she doesn't have to continue having a relationship with someone who sees her as another tissue in the box of life.
Your are not a bad friend. You just really care for your friend and you don't want to see here get hurt. If you did not care, you would not say anything. However, having an abortion is not an easy choice to make. And although it may seem like an easy way out in your eyes, it may not be as easy for her. Just fall back a little. Allow her to make her own to make her own decisions and if things don't work out for the good, just try to be the best friend you can be through what ever ends up happening.

My friend was in a similar situation, but she felt that aborting the child was just punishing the child. when she gave birth she registered the child as father unknown. thusfar He has haed nothing to do with them and she is just fine with that. she has a heathy 4 year old now and she wouldn't trade him for the world. The love that that child would bring into her life will be well worth it.
i once told a family member to get an abortion 15 years ago . I was so wrong ....I live with shame every time I see that amazing girl...times can be hard but live each day as a new start.IT may not be easy but you can be there to help,laugh, and cry .....that baby could be the best thing in her life....if not today or tomorrow but who knows 10 20 50 years from now.....sperm donor is all he may be but his baby is her flesh and blood now....

Should I feel bad??? Advice?

im currently involved in my high schools club called make a wish for communtiy service hours.since im short on hours i volunteer on every activity out there..so tonight i decided to go to a pizza resturant fundraiser thing so i can get hours and im bringing my family (5 people) with me becuz that way i get more.. last event i went to another resturant with my family for the same reason..all we do is eat there..my dad paid for our food and were a lot of people so now he is not happy that he has to pay money again btw were not rich so were kinda in debt and i told my dad we dont have to pay and go but hes like no were doing this for u i feel really bad like its my fault..and i told my grandma to come and she said that ur poor dad hes always spending if we were going to this then we shouldve went to that! i dont know what to do?? i feel soo guilty.Should I feel bad??? Advice?
I'm not telling you that you should feel guilty but if your instincts question on if you should or shouldn't feel guilty than you probably should. Why all the bad advice on here? Who asked for your opinions?

Why do so many continue to give bad or incorrect answers?





And why when the question asks a specific question do many feel they need to give their opinion ?





I noticed many do not understand that there are different branches of the military. Many times someone asks about USMC boot camp and you have non Marines answering with how their time was in AF basic or army basic..All these answers do is mislead the people who see this information.





I saw a question that asked ';how many days of leave do you get after usmc boot camp?';..and most answers were non marines. WHY? people were saying things like,';when i went to army ait i had 15 days of leave';..%26lt;%26lt;who cares and who asked you..





And to the ';wives'; or GF's of servicemen, by you talking crap as if you know anything on here all you do is fiurther add to the problems they face. There is no need for you to state that your branch is the best or any crap like that because yopu dont know what your talking about.





Whats funny is that most of the arguing of who is best and all that is done by NON MILITARY folks..





My question is simple..Why do so many who dont have a good answer love to answer with lame answers or answers that dont relate to the question? and why do they offer an opinion when none was asked for?





If the question asks ';what do you think'; then an opinion is fine, but just click around and you will see that most answers are opinions..and opinions are coming from civilians..thats just silly.Why all the bad advice on here? Who asked for your opinions?
I get what you are saying, but on the other side, alot of questions ask for opinions like ';Which branch is best?';


People fuel it as much as people commit the bad/incorrect/what have you questions. And in my opinion, living a military lifestyle is alot more than what civilians have....alot of wives are very informed....my husband didn't even know where 82nd Airborne is stationed or 101st Airborne but I did (Bragg and Campbell). I have lived a military lifestyle my whole life, not just as a spouse. And also I think it is silly to think you will get the most intelligent answer on YA, on the other hand, because you get so many people putting their info on here, just like Wikipedia. And people in military families are not civilians technically...they are military dependants until the servicemember leaves service. But I agree that the cross-branch opinions are not the best - a question about the Army will not work with a Navy answer, etc...I try to stick to Army/USMC questionsWhy all the bad advice on here? Well I joint train With a Marine Gunnery School. Therefore I know my job and how they operate the exact same equipment. We (the Army) and the Marine Corps share some of the same Nomenclature of operations. Hell all my books say on the front ';the Army and Marine corps manual Gunnery book';. Soo I have a little way to sway at least when it comes to field artillery.
I've noticed that most answers on YA are wrong, not just the answers to miltary questions. For some reason, people believe they know the answer even when they don't. No matter -- I think most people are pretty good at separating the wheat from the chaff.
Well, who asked for yours? I am a military wife and grew up in a military family, so I have had a lot of experience. I avoid answers I know I don't know the answer to. Not all wives are idiots.
As for ';who asked for your opinion anyway'; the answer would be whoever posted the ';question';. If you don't like the way things are done on yahoo answers then why are you on here?
Don't ask a military question to a place where a lot of gamer nerds hang out. Do your own research at a reputable site.

There are things that are the same in all branches Ie base pay,BAH, accumulation of leave and Tricare.





As for wives answering questions... if the answer is correct what's the problem??? I mean if they are giving bad info that's one thing but if they aren't then there shouldn't be an issue. I know wives who know more than some service members. I have 1SG's and CO's that come to me for info (and not just FRG stuff) I can quote regs, standards and traditions without looking them up.... so I would say that I'm pretty informed about the Military. If I'm unsure I either look it up, ask my DH or don't answer.





As for people giving their opinion and who asked for it... well the question poster did and if you can't handle people's options then maybe you shouldn't post here.





I agree with you on the who's the better branch questions.. I find those beyond annoying and avoid them for the most part. I've gotten onto a couple people for slandering a branch when they haven't served in it.
Calm down. In this format of asking questions you get many people answering. Then it is up to you and others to vote on the best answer. So you can choose the best answer if you do not like the one you get.





Also many answers can be answered by talking to recruiters and/or using the Google and just taking some time to use one's own brain and find the answer.





So those in glass houses should not throw stones or criticize the answers of others. It is up to you as the receiver of information to accept it or not!
Well, first off, ALL military personnel get 30 days of leave a year regardless of branch or rank. That's 2.5 days per month. When the answer is the same for everyone, anyone who actually knows will do.





Other answers are unique to each service. Those should be answered by someone with first hand knowledge.





As for those who think the US _________ (fill in your service) is the best - we all have a specific function and mission as part of a team. Take away one piece and the whole thing starts to unravel. I love flying and wouldn't trade it for any other military occupational series. However, other folks prefer good old terra firma (I kind of feel that way about ships).





When you ask questions in a free-for-all forum like YA, expect strap hangers to chime in. If that's not what you are willing to tolerate, ask your questions in some other forum.





In the meantime, just make sure YOU chime in when you have the right answer.

The major cause of bad breath is the top of the tongue where bacteria grow and produce those bad smells. Brushing your teeth will help but it does not cure bad breath. I was having bad breath and a furred tongue so I decided to cut out dairy and see what happened. But I love dairy too much, so swapped to goats' products instead of cows' (as goats' milk is more easily digested). You are doing the right things so far. Brushing twice a day and flossing every day is a great start. Sometimes bad breath is attributed to your diet, especially dairy. The cultures in yogurt will sometime neutralize bad breath, so eat up! Another key is to brush your tongue. As far back as you can try to scrape the bacteria towards the front of your mouth. If you want to try a mouthwash (they really serve no purpose except for ACT fluoride rinse which everyone should use before going to bed) try Crest ProHealth, but try the green flavor. Just met the boyfriends family.. went bad :(.. advice..?

My boyfriend had a long term girlfriend before me.. they were together for years.. obviously she got close to his family. Well, weve been together 9 months now.. hes a great boyfriend.. never given me a reason not to trust him... and were really happy...





As his family is from another state, i didnt met any of them until tonight. Well, i get there.. first thing his aunt (not even his mom- his extended family!!) started talking to him about right in front of me was his ex girlfriend and how they still talk to each other!!!





I couldnt help but get upset when we left. My boyfriend said he cant believe they would bring her up in front of me but yes his mom and aunt still talk to her and he says they are like that with all his brothers exes.

You could be upset but not at your boyfriend, you could be upset at his mother and aunt. but their is nothing you can do to change that beside make them like you then make them love you by being nice and sweet with having manners. Try to talk to them, go out to lunch and visit them. first you can call them to get comfortable around them .
