For this dress...

...she told me to get a ';backless convertible bra.';
To wear it with the dress you would need BOTH a low back and regular straps. And it doesn't appear to me as if those types of bras can work that way.
Is that correct, or is there a ';backless convertible bra'; out there that would accommodate the dress style? My seamstress thought that a bra would be preferable to cups. It sounded all well and good, but maybe I didn't understand what she was talking about in terms of a bra.Did my seamstress give me bad advice?
I think this is the kind of bra she was talking about:

It says in the description that it is ';Fully convertible to a backless look';.
Its pricey, but I bet it is what she meant.Did my seamstress give me bad advice?

or these ';petals'; they cover your nipples and no worries! those also work VERY well :)
I personally am way to big busted for those stick on bras. This site will take you to a backless bra and don't let the color fool you it comes in beige!
they sell these foam stick-on bras at wal-mart. you basically just push it on your breasts and you're good to go. they arent cups really, and i think you're better off with cups with that low of a back. but those stick-on things were a lifesaver for my sister at prom. lol
...oh and girl that dress is gourgeous!
if you can't find a low back bra with shoulder straps ( i don't know if they exist) then you should opt for cups to be sewn onto the dress.
Most low back bras have a halter strap which will not work with your dress.
Gorgeous dress, how much does it take to make one like that?
imho a bra is never preferable to cups. you can either find the kind that stick onto your boobs, or have her sew in padded fabric cups for you.
